The Central Administration Department is the Secretariat of the Municipal Assembly and is responsible for the provision of support services, effective and efficient general administration and organization of the Assembly. It is headed by a Coordinating Director / Deputy Director. The Department manages all sections of the assembly including; Records, Estate, Transport, Logistics and Procurement, Accounts, Stores, Security and Human Resources.
CORDINATION
The Department shall also coordinate the;
General administrative functions
Development planning and management functions
Budgeting functions
Rating functions
Planning and Development of the Municipal Assembly.
MUNICIPAL PLANNING, BUDGETING AND COORDINATION UNIT (MPCU)
The MPCU is responsible for coordinating, monitoring preparation, implementation and appraisals of development plans and budgets of the Municipal Assembly, Decentralized Departments and Central Administration of the Assembly. It comprises of the Municipal Planning, Municipal Budget preparation and, Monitoring and Evaluation sections. It is headed by the Municipal Co-ordinating Director.
MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (MIS)
The MIS/IT office is to: Provide technical support and advise the assembly on ICT models. Ensure that all measurable description of ICT service provision to the assembly are accurate and of standard. Match perceptions of expected service provision with actual service support & delivery
Activities
1.Troubleshoot system for possible system failures, and Defragment and Scan storage drives for errors and Backup important files
2. Review antivirus activity log and inform user about possible threat source, Update antivirus definitions and Manually Scan PC’s for Viruses and Malware, and Check firewall logs and performance
3. Clean/ Blow all computers and peripherals, and perform internal cleaning of computer components
4. Verify all hardware drivers are up and running and Diagnose and recommend hardware and software or system replacements
5. Implement possible upgrades to increase performance and productivity
6. Organize workshops to train staff on emerging technologies
